Good Grief! That is a lot of money for retired factory worker William Grief!
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock man is $100,000 richer after matching 6 out of 7 numbers in the February 2, 2022 Lotto 6/49 draw.
William Grief purchased his winning ticket at the Sunrise Variety on Springbank Ave in Woodstock. The retired factory worker has been playing the lottery for years.
"My favourite games are LOTTO MAX, ONTARIO 49 and LOTTO 6/49. I always add ENCORE!"
Grief says he was at the store when he discovered the big win.
"The lottery terminal said Big Winner and the store clerk told me I won big and that OLG would be calling. I was totally shocked. I went to my daughter's house right away to tell her the good news. My son-in-law was home too – they were so happy for me."
Grief plans to invest the money and enjoy his retirement.
"I'm going to make the most of this money and focus on comfort. It still hasn't hit me yet. I feel happy."
