Woodstock Police Briefs - Tuesday September 14th

Woodstock Police briefs include an attempted theft from a business in the Dundas and Clarke Street area, a shoplifting incident close to Norwich Ave and Juliana Drive and three keyed vehicles on Devonshire Ave.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested two people on Friday afternoon after getting a tip about a stolen vehicle. 

Officers found the stolen vehicle in a parking lot at Devonshire and Woodall Way.

A 40 year old man from Woodstock and a 30 year old woman from Woodstock were both arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were able to track down a stolen electric bike.

The bike had been taken from outside a business on Norwich Avenue last week. On Saturday morning, police responded to a report of three suspicious men on bikes going through construction sites in the area of Pember's Pass around 5:10 a.m. 

When police arrived on scene, the men were gone but they were able to recover the stolen blue and black electric bike.

WOODSTOCK - Three vehicles were keyed at a parking lot on Devonshire Avenue over the weekend. 

Police say the mischief happened near Industrial Avenue sometime between Thursday night and Saturday.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are investigating an attempted theft from a business in the area of Dundas Street near Clarke Street. 

A man tried to flee the store with an unpaid product after being confronted by a store employee. A nearby shopper tried to help the employee and was hit in the face by the suspect. 

The suspect is described as a man in his 20's, wearing jeans and a black zip up hoodie. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.

WOODSTOCK - A 25 year old woman from Woodstock was arrested for shoplifting on Sunday morning.

Police say the woman left a store without paying for several items in the area of Norwich and Juliana Drive Sunday morning. 

The woman was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
