Woodstock Police responded to a couple of crashes yesterday and handed out 39 traffic tickets during a recent blitz.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police responded to a couple of collisions in the Friendly City yesterday.
Officers were called to the corner of Clarke and Sloane around 6:45 am after a silver Buick collided with a blue Honda. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and a 46 year old Woodstock resident was charged with Disobey a Stop Sign.
Then yesterday afternoon around 5:30 police were called to a crash on Dundas Street. Police estimate the collision caused about $25,000 in damage to the two vehicles. Both air bags were deployed and no injuries were reported. A 36 year old Woodstock resident was charged with start from a stopped position.
Woodstock Police have also been doing traffic blitzes in the city over the last couple of days. During a 2 day period on Monday Tuesday officers handed out 39 tickets. 17 of the tickets were for speeding.
