Already in the past two weeks officers in Woodstock have issued several tickets and warnings to drivers who are not being vigilant in obeying the rules in school zones.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have been spending a lot of time, focusing on school safety this month.
They are highly visible in our school zones, with officers wearing bright coloured vests. They have been joined by by-law officers and crossing guards in making sure our kids and members of the community are safe at all school zones and cross walks in the City.
Police are reminding motorists that when you see these high visibility vests, whether it be on an officer or a crossing guard to slow down, be aware of your surroundings and obey all posted signs. Already in the past two weeks officers in Woodstock have issued several tickets and warnings to drivers who are not being vigilant in obeying these rules.
The message from Woodstock police is "Let's all work together to keep our kids, and each other safe!"
