Decorated officers and new recruits were honoured during the Woodstock Police Service Awards Ceremony on Monday.
WOODSTOCK - A long-standing Woodstock Police Constable has been honoured for his years of service.
Constable Eric Hiiuvain currently works in the patrol division and he received his 20-Year Exemplary Service Medal during the Woodstock Police Service Awards Ceremony on Monday.
Two new recruits were also honoured during the ceremony, with Constable Eccles and Constable Loiselle receiving the Jeff Pincombe Bursary from the Hardie Family Foundation. It will help pay for their Basic Constable Training through the Ontario Police College.
The bursary is in memory of Constable Jeff Pincombe, who was a Woodstock Police constable from 2003 to 2004 before he died in a car crash. His mother Anne Pincombe presented the bursary to Constable Eccles and Constable Loiselle. She was joined by Bob Hardie, the founder of the Hardie Family Foundation.
