Woodstock Police are concerned about escalating violence in London between a street gang and the Hells Angels. Two shootings and multiple arsons to massage parlours have been linked to a rivalry between the criminal element. The incidents bring to mind the arson this past summer at Laurie's massage parlour in Woodstock. Police Chief Rod Freeman says so far there's no link to biker or gang activity. "It's still something we're investigating and considering. We haven't ruled it out, but we also have no evidence to suggest that right now." However, Freeman says they've been in close touch with London Police this week on the activity. "Just measuring what's going on, how that's going to affect us here in Woodstock. And we'll continue to work with our police partners in London and St. Thomas to make sure that we're ahead of what might come to Woodstock so we're able to deal with it." Freeman says while police are aware of full fledged biker gang members residing in the Woodstock area, he says thankfully, we don't have any gangs based out of Woodstock. He says gang members do pass through Woodstock conducting "business" - trafficking drugs and protitution.
