Leon's in Woodstock sales associate Shawn Smith among top ranked Leon's sales associates in Canada
WOODSTOCK - A sales associate for Leon's in Woodstock was ranked in the top three for combined floor sales across Canada.
Shawn Smith has been with Leon's for almost eight years now, starting out in the warehouse and eventually moving up to sales.
He was shocked when he discovered that his sales numbers for 2021 were top ranked not only in his store, but across the country.
"It's one of those things where you don't really think about it. I knew I had a good year going all along, but when you finally read the number, go to the dinner, receive an award and you meet the President of the company, you realize it's very significant."
He attended the dinner in Toronto earlier this year.
"We went to Toronto to this nice little club and had a dinner. There was only about 30 sales associates that made it to the top club and it was really great talking to (President) Graham Leon. He's really supportive and a really cool guy."
Smith says he would love to beat his sales record this year, adding it would be great to become the top sales associate across Canada someday.
He would also like to thank Roger Banghart, the owner of the Leon's locations in Woodstock and Stratford. Smith was a touring musician for over 10 years before he started with Leon's, and he's grateful that Banghart gave him a shot with the company.
