The run will take place in Southside Park on Sunday, September 14th.
WOODSTOCK - Southside Park will be a packed place for the 45th annual Terry Fox Run in the Friendly City
Event Chair John Versaevel says everyone will gather at the bandshell pavilion this Sunday.
"It's a really family-oriented day, so it's open to anyone and everyone. You can register at 9:00 a.m., and the run starts at 10:00 a.m., and there's no fee to enter."
You can participate in the 2.5K, the 5K, or the 10K community walk and run.
Versaevel says the funds raised go to the Terry Fox Foundation.
"It all goes towards cancer research. Terry's entire premise was that if we're going to solve these problems, it's going to be through research, so that's all that the foundation does."
You can click here to register or donate to the Woodstock Terry Fox Run. The Woodstock Navy Vets will also be hosting their Terry Fox Night during the home opener at Southwood Arena tonight, giving local hockey fans a chance to donate to the cause.
Versaevel says the Woodstock Terry Fox Run has raised about $624,000 since 1980.
