The 30 year old from Woodstock will be making his NHL debut as a linesman tonight when the Habs take on the Sabres in Buffalo.
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstonian makes his NHL debut tonight.
Ben O'Quinn will be a linesman in the game featuring the Montreal Canadians taking on the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo.
The 30 year old from Woodstock recently served as a linesman at the World Juniors in January and did two season in the AHL. Before joining the zebra's, he was also a very good hockey playing. O'Quinn was on the OHL's Sarnia Sting from 2007-2010 where he got to play alongside current NHL stars Steven Stamkos and Matt Martin.
He also spent four seasons in the SPHL before trading in his stick for a whistle.
You can watch for him tonight, O'Quinn will be wearing number 91.
O'Quinn is not the only person from Woodstock who is an NHL linesman. He will join Brad Kovachik who has been working in the league since 1996.
