The local barbershop chorus will be one of two mixed choruses from Canada performing in the competition this April.
A barbershop chorus from Woodstock is one of two mixed choruses who will perform at the 2020 Barbershop Musikfestival in Germany.
Undercover Mixed will be in the World Mixed Choruses category in Dortmund.
Chorus Director Dave Campbell says they formed in January of 2018.
"The goal was to qualify for this event in 2020 so on that route we competed in front of a panel of judges in Ontario at the convention in the fall, and we won the Ontario District our first time out for the Mixed Barbershop Harmony Association (MBHA)."
He adds they competed in the fall last year, coming in second to qualify for the competition.
Campbell says they'll be ramping up their rehearsal schedule to prepare.
"We're a small group, we're 26 or 27 people so all of the decisions are made with polling the members and making sure everyone's on board and willing to commit the extra time. And to a person, everyone was right on board and said 'yeah we're going to this.' We wanted to take our best performance and leave nothing on the table. So everyone's on board. It's great fun, the preparation is as much or more of the fun than being on stage."
He adds they'll perform on April 5th with a chance to be in the Show of Champions later that evening. He says it'll be their first time performing in the competition.

It will run from April 2nd - 5th.
