Police say the driver had close to three times the legal limit of alcohol in their system.
WOODSTOCK - A 41-year-old from Woodstock has been busted for impaired driving in their hometown.
Woodstock Police responded to a report of a pickup truck blocking someone's driveway in the area of Devonshire Ave and Wellington Street North at around 3:45 a.m. yesterday. The truck was running when the officers arrived on scene and the driver was passed out behind the wheel.
They woke up the driver, who then tried to get away, but they crashed into a police cruiser in the process. Police say they had close to three times the legal limit of alcohol in their system at the time.
They're now facing one count of operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
