Students at Roch Carrier Public School will be the first to test out some of the new activity stations for the upcoming Oxford Children's Water Festival.
WOODSTOCK - The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is offering a sneak preview of their upcoming Oxford Children's Water Festival.
They will bring some of their water activities to Roch Carrier Public School on Thursday; which also happens to be World Water Day.
Marketing Specialist Steve Sauder says it will be a trial run for their new exercises.
"We'll be working with some of the students to have some of the new activity stations so they can test them for us. We always like to test out anything new so we can have it at the festival this year and make sure everything is great."
Over 3,000 students will get to check out 50 stations when the four day festival opens on May 15th at the Pittock Conservation Area.
Sauder says Thursday's celebration will tie right in with the festival.
"With the theme of World Water Day being Nature for Water and exploring how we can use nature to overcome the water challenges of the 21st century; it ties right in with exactly what we're trying to get across at the Water Festival with the students."
