Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, people will be out shopping those special deals. Woodstock Police send out a reminder to make sure your items are safe and will not get stolen.
WOODSTOCK - Deals upon deals are to be had as it is Black Friday.
Many residents will be out trying to find the best price for a potential Christmas gift.
Community Service Officer with Woodstock Police Service, Shaylyn Jackson says there is an important tip to remember.
"So, we want to remind people to lock it or loose it. That's a campaign that we try to reinforce around this time, around the holiday season when people are out shopping."
Jackson adds people should store items out of sight, so it is less likely someone would break a window to steal valuables out of the vehicle.
She mentions something to remember if you plan to look for deals online.
"It's important to remind people that they have a plan when it comes to receiving their packages being delivered."
Jackson says this time of year "Porch Pirates" will be out looking for delivered packages that are left on people's door steps.
