Ingersoll Youth for Christ in need of new location
INGERSOLL - Packing has begun for Ingersoll's Youth For Christ.
The organization was given less than a month by the Town to find new accomodations before their current location -- the former Carnegie building-- was taken offline due to health hazards. Director of Youth For Christ, Joe Carney says it has been a struggle to try and find a new space, "We haven't had any luck at all, we've sort of put it out there, that we are looking but with the holidays people aren't really thinking about that all that much."
Fortunately for YFC the town of Ingersoll has offered them several temporary solutions. "The town has offered us some space to set up our offices at the community complex in Ingersoll," Carney adds. Their Saturday morning breakfast program will continue at the Fusion Centre in Ingersoll.
Carney says they are offering furnishing to those in need or who are interested, including couches. He asks only for a donation to the organization.
Those interested in helping find an affordable location for the organization can contact Carney at info@yfcinjgersoll.com
