Young people in Woodstock have an opportunity to make a difference in the Friendly City and have their voices heard
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is looking for a few good men and women to head up their youth advisory committee.
Woodstock started the committee last year and they meet once a month to provide council with some of the concerns facing children in the Friendly City. Director of Parks and Recreation Brian Connors tells Heart FM the committee advises council on issues that are important to youth. "They can advise on input onto new facilities, what you youth would like to see as far as programs or anything of that nature in Woodstock."
Connors says they plan on hitting up the High Schools this year and would like at least one representative from each school on the committee. They are hoping to attract plenty of youth this year and are accepting applications for the Fall now.
You can find out how to apply at the City of Woodstock web site.
