International Women's Day is alive and well in Woodstock. About 160 women turned out for the annual Zonta Club Breakfast at the Quality Inn. They heard a keynote speech from Sandy Ciromoni, President of TD Mutual Funds. Ciromini offered this advice for women when it comes to financial planning. "Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't put the time off, you've got to act now, you have to take control now instead of later in your life. And don't be afraid that you don't know everything. You don't need to be an expert to engage confidently with an adviser to look at your future." Zonta Club of Woodstock President Maria Odumodu says besides the timely financial advice, the breakfast was also about being together. "I think it's important for women to get together on March 8th and celebrate the progress we've made. I always ask the question 'Are we there yet?'...I know we're not there yet, but we're making progress." This is the 101st International Women's Day. The celebrations continue with a free chili lunch at the CAW Hall in Woodstock.
