Registration is open for the Zonta Golf Classic on Wednesday August 20th.
WOODSTOCK - The Zonta Club of Woodstock is hosting it's golf classic a little later than usual this year.
It usually takes place in June, but the popular fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday August 20th at Craigowan Golf Club in Woodstock.
Co-chair Kate Foster provided us with the details during an interview on the Heart FM Morning Show.
"So it's going to start early in the morning, probably around 8:30 a.m. and it's a shotgun start, best ball golf tournament. It will be super fun and it's a great opportunity to have a great day and support Zonta."
It costs $165 per person but that includes the golfing, your cart, lunch, prizes and more. There's also a lunch only option for those who just want to socialize.
Zonta is all about supporting women and families in terms of equality and human rights. Local member Pat Fray says all of the money raised during the golf tournament will stay in the community.
"The Golf Classic is all about ensuring that we do everything for women and their families locally."
The Zonta Golf Classic has raised over $485,000 over the last 26 years.
You can find more information, including registration and sponsorship opportunities, online here.
Pat Fray and Kate Foster stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan Henry on Friday July 18th. You can listen to the full interview below:
