Residents of Woodstock have a chance to get fit and support a great cause all at the same time.
WOODSTOCK - A Zumba fundraiser in Woodstock will raise money for the local CMHA walk in counselling programs.
Zumba Fitness Instructor Maggie Hagedorn is hosting the event on Thursday September 22nd at the Goff Hall in Woodstock from 6 to 8 pm. Hagedorn says it promises to be a great night.
"It will have lot's of Zumba of course, 2 hours of Zumba, we will have some silent auction and door prizes to anyone who comes out. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at Woodstock Health and Fitness as well as Destination Travel here in Woodstock. We also have some vendors coming out to offer their services like Leggings and other small client type organizations trying to raise more funds and awareness for the event."
She says all of the proceeds will go towards supporting mental health.
"We are going to support the local CMHA Walk in Clinics, we are also going to subsidize memberships for any of the clients of the CMHA in Oxford that are looking for a healthy place to exercise."
