100 Women Who Care's latest donation has been presented to Andrew's Legacy to continue installing AEDs in Ontario.
WOODSTOCK - The 100 Women who Care Oxford Chapter has donated $6,500 to Andrew's Legacy.
Andrew's Legacy was created following the sudden death of Andrew Stoddart who died while playing soccer in Kintore. Since then the organization has been working hard to equip every sports field in Ontario with Automated External Defibrillators. Andrew's Mother Cara Schmidt was on hand to receive the cheque last night and was thrilled the organization chose Andrew's Legacy for the honour.
"I am so very thankful again to the community that has stood behind 100% since Andrew passed away 2 years ago and I am looking forward to this donation to be able to give back once more to Oxford County."
Schmidt says they are going to top up the donation a bit so that they will be able to purchase 4 new AED's for the Oxford County community. They still haven't decided where they will place the new AED's and will likely make a decision on that front soon. The 100 Women of Oxford County presented Andrew's Legacy with a giant cheque at the CAS building last night.
