Tickets cost $25 and they can be purchased online or at several locations in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - It's a holiday tradition for South Gate Centre in Woodstock.
Tickets are now on sale for one of its most popular fundraisers, the 12 Days of Christmas Lottery. Executive Director Chris Cunningham explains how it works.
"Starting Boxing Day, every morning a draw is made and we do that for 12 Days. If you win, your ticket goes back into the pot for the next day."
The prize amount grows each day and you can find the complete breakdown below:
Day 1 - December 26th - $100
Day 2 - December 27th - $200
Day 3 - December 28th - $300
Day 4 - December 29th - $400
Day 5 - December 30th - $500
Day 6 - December 31st - $600
Day 7 - January 1st - $700
Day 8 - January 2nd - $800
Day 9 - January 3rd - $900
Day 10 - January 4th - $1,000
Day 11 - January 5th - $1,100
Day 12 - January 6th - $10,000 (grand prize)
Tickets cost $25 each and they can be purchased online here or at South Gate, Jacko's Sports Bar, FirstOntario Credit Union, or Wellington Street Denture Clinic. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold, which also increases your chances to win.
South Gate has been holding the 12 Days of Christmas Lottery for about 15 years now and Cunningham says it's one of their most popular fundraisers to date.
"This is one of those fundraisers that never really diminished! It stays incredibly popular and it has become a tradition for families looking forward to getting these tickets."
All of the money will benefit programs for adults over 50 in our community.
