Upgrades Completed for Woodstock Disc Golf Course

The newly renovated disc golf course at Pittock Conservation Area can range from a par 60 to a par 61.

WOODSTOCK - A collaborative effort brings major upgrades to the 18-hole disc golf course at Pittock Conservation Area.

The City of Woodstock partnered with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), Fluent Disc Sport Inc., Visser Construction and Elevation Tree Service to make the upgrades happen. There has been a full redesign including separate red tees for recreational players, blue tees for the advanced disc golfers, and a hybrid white layout, which offers an intermediate challenge. The course can range from a par 60 to a par 61 depending on the layout played.

Other changes include artificial turf tee pads, fluent borealis championship baskets, and brand-new tee signage. There will also be new wooded fairways, elevation changes, strategic landing zones, and enhanced shot-shaping opportunities, but the changes will keep a welcoming experience for newer players. City of Woodstock Supervisor of Parks and Forestry Reta Horan says how exciting the changes are for the course and the Conservation Area.

"This redevelopment brings a fresh, exciting energy to Pittock Conservation Area. We’re proud to offer a free, high-quality recreational experience that supports casual play, league nights, and major tournament events."

The course is located in the park’s free day-use section and is open daily from dawn until dusk. The course layout is available through the UDisc app. Woodstock residents and visitors are invited to come out, explore the upgraded course, and enjoy one of Ontario’s most complete disc golf experiences.
