There are 1,390 active cases in the province after 158 new cases of COVID-19 were reported this morning. Two new deaths were reported with 38,958 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - 158 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province today.
The total amount of cases across Ontario stands at 43,161.
5,945 of the cases are reported to be from residents living in long-term care homes and 2,649 cases are reported to be from healthcare workers associated with long-term care outbreaks.
The province's death toll climbs to 2,813 today after two new deaths were reported. Also, there were 38,958 resolved cases.
3,126,408 tests have been completed to date and there are 17,698 tests currently under investigation.
The Province's report says 52 people are currently in hospital with COVID-19, however approximately 30 hospitals did not submit their data to the Daily Bed Census for September 4th. It's anticipated there may be an increase of patients in hospital when reporting compliance increases.
15 of the patients in hospital are ICU and nine patients are in ICU on a ventilator.
