Woodstock Police are investigating after 30-thousand dollars worth of cellphones have been stolen from the city's Bell Store. Suspects smashed through the front door of the Dundas St. store at around 4 o'clock this morning. Over 60 phones were stolen, including new Blackberry Z-10's, I-Phone 5's and Samsung Galaxy's. Cellphones have been a hot target for thieves in recent months in the province. A Rogers outlet in Brantford was held up in an armed robbery on January 15th, which at the time, police had said may be connected to robberies in Guelph and Toronto. In those robberies, large quantities of cell phones were the target. Anyone with information in the Woodstock case is advised to call Woodstock Police (537-2323) or Crime Stoppers (1800-222-8477).
