Officers from Woodstock, Stratford, Strathroy, St. Thomas and Aylmer will be really cracking down on distracted driving tomorrow.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are once again taking part in the annual 4 Counties Traffic Initiative with police forces from Stratford, London, St. Thomas, Aylmer and Strathroy-Caradoc.
Stratford Police has taken the lead on this event for the past 5 years. The objective of the program is for officers from different communities to visit different areas and help out with targeted enforcement and promote road safety and education. They will be doing things like radar, watching for distracted drivers and participating in R.I.D.E programs.
Officers will be looking for any breaches of the Highway Traffic Act tomorrow, but will concentrate on distracted driving and intersection related violations. The purpose of this program is to promote road safety and education.
