Three were taken to hospital, including two children, following a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound 401 just outside of Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - An individual has been charged after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Woodstock.
This afternoon at approximately 11:30 a.m., members from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 in South-West Oxford.
Police responded with assistance from West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) Team, Oxford County Fire Services and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services.
Three occupants were taken to hospital as a precaution, including two small children.
Two lanes of the highway were closed for a short period of time to facilitate the investigation and to clean up the collision scene.
A 22-year-old resident of Etobicoke has been charged with Careless Driving.
All lanes have since re-opened.
Police are reminding drivers that safety equipment including seatbelts and car seats, when worn and installed properly, can save lives.
