Police have identified the driver who died in the multi vehicle crash on the 401 at Oxford Road 6 on Wednesday.
WOODSTOCK - Police have identified the man who died in the multi vehicle crash on the 401 at Oxford Road 6.
60 year old Mark Barnartt was pronounced deceased at the scene. One other person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash. Barnartt was part of the first multi vehicle collision on the 401 on Wednesday.
Several minutes later, two additional multi motor vehicle collisions occurred in the westbound lanes of King's Highway 401, east of the initial collision scene. The two subsequent collisions involved approximately 27 motor vehicles. Minor injuries were reported at both separate collisions, which occurred just west of Sweaburg Road.
OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding each of the collisions.
OPP are urging any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoke to police to call in and report what they saw. Also for anyone who may have potential evidence including dashboard cameras, to review your footage and please report this information to police.
