PORT DOVER - Rising waters in Port Dover yesterday flooded several homes and a couple of roads in the town on Lake Erie.
At least one 77 year old woman had to be rescued from her home because of the flood. Several homes on River Road were flooded. Clean up efforts continue today. The water has receded and all of the roads are back up and running. Homeowners are left to deal with flooded homes and basements today.
Constable Sanchuk says the water has receded and all of the roads are back up and running. Homeowners are left to deal with flooded homes and basements today.
"Cleanup continues the roadways are open, water has receded, I'm going to go check out River Road where we had to rescue a 77 year old woman today. Make sure you take care, stay safe, drive safe and bundle up, it's cold outside especially with the way the wind is blowing."
Sanchuk adds they are reminding everyone that the roads are still in bad shape with blowing snow and zero visibility.
"It is blowing snow, you are going to run into visibility issues so make sure you slow down and drive to the conditions."
