Volunteer firefighters responded to 22 incidents and logged 106 hours of emergency response activities.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Members of Norwich Fire and Protective Services have been quite busy as of late.
According to the monthly report in the latest Township Council agenda, volunteer firefighters logged 965 hours of emergency response activities from January 1st, 2026 to May 31st, 2026. Over 100 of those hours were from May alone with volunteer firefighters responding to 22 incidents total.

The report says the fire department responded to 14 incidents in May of 2025, with volunteer firefighters logging 77 hours of emergency response activities. A total of 11 incidents were reported for May of 2024, with 83 emergency response hours logged.
