Environment Canada says record temperatures hit Oxford County yesterday. It reached 19.8 degrees, which beat the previous record set in 1934.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is a glimpse of summer for Oxford County.
Yesterday, the area saw higher-than-normal temperatures for this time of year.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Steven Flisfeder says a record was hit.
"It did reach 19.8 degrees celsius, so that's a new record for yesterday March 4th. The previous record was 19.4 degrees, and that was set in 1934."
He says that typically the highs should be between plus 3 and 5, with the lows at minus 5.
Flisfeder mentions there will be changes coming to the temperatures in Oxford County.
"Temperatures will drop by about 10 degrees, so putting it in the high single digit range, so still above seasonal. When you compare it to yesterday and today, it will feel a little bit cooler."
A cold front will be moving through, which is bringing some rain, and once that is through, Oxford County will start to see the temperatures drop.
