Susan Roback won $10,000 this morning after she was announced as the Day 12 winner of South Gate Centre's 12 Days of Christmas Lottery.
WOODSTOCK - We finally know the name of the grand prize winner for South Gate Centre's 12 Days of Christmas Lottery.
Susan Roback was the winner for Day 12, so she will receive a cheque for $10,000. Executive Director Chris Cunningham says Roback was shocked to find out that she had won because she has never won a prize like this before.
South Gate printed 2,500 tickets this year and Cunningham says they almost sold out.
"Almost 2,300 tickets were sold and that was the most tickets we have ever sold which was phenomenal! We have netted almost $42,000 from this so for South Gate Centre that is immense."
Cunningham says the money will help with their big expansion that's expected to begin later this year. The new expansion will include a new atrium area, program spaces, upgrades to the kitchen, and a hall that can hold up to 400 people.
"It's really going to be a premier community space for our demographic (adults over 50) as well as the community at large. We host so many things already for the community and this is really going to up our game. We've already had people trying to pre-book us for conferences as well as trade shows and such! We're really excited about what this will allow our community to do."
