TAVISTOCK - Four residents at PeopleCare in Tavistock who had tested positive for COVID-19 have passed away in the last 36 hours.
The long term care home declared an outbreak on December 16th after 1 staff member tested positive. As of today a total of 32 residents and 24 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. According to the latest data from Southwestern Public Health, 4 residents who tested positive have died in the past 36 hours.
PeopleCare is under strict guidelines right now and only essential visitors are allowed inside. Staff have been brought in from other hospitals in the region, to help maintain the level of care at the home.
