The Adient Seating facility in Tillsonburg has closed and about 200 people have lost their jobs.
TILLSONBURG - About 200 people have lost their jobs after Adient Seating Canada decided to close its Tillsonburg facility.
The workers were informed of the closure on Tuesday. There are multiple reports that the auto manufacturer will move the operations to facilities in the United States.
Adient specializes in building seats for vehicles and Tillsonburg plant was formerly known as Johnson Controls Ltd.
In an interview with CTV London, Tillsonburg Mayor Deb Gilvesy said the municipality will do everything in its power to help the employees affected by this closure.
