East Zorra - Tavistock is introducing a new alcohol policy. Residents will be able to attend information meetings to find out more details.
EAST ZORRA - TAVISTOCK - A new policy is coming to the Township of East Zorra - Tavistock.
An alcohol policy is something most Municipalities have and was a talking point in the Township.
Mayor, Phil Schaefer says Council has taken over the management of events where alcohol is served.
"Since the Township took it over one-hundred percent in June of 2022, that's precipitated the need for an overarching, Township wide, consistent Alcohol Policy."
Schaefer adds residents will be able to attend information sessions.
"They can attend those meetings. It is really to provide information about these changes going forward. The changes don't come into effect until September 1st."
The information meetings will be held at the Innerkip Community Hall from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and then at the Tavistock Arena Upper Hall from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Both are being held on Thursday, August 17th.
