Oxford Tourism has launched an online survey for residents, visitors, and tourism business operators.
OXFORD - Oxford Tourism is looking for input from residents, visitors, and tourism business operators.
It has launched three online surveys for the three demographics. Tourism Officer Karlee Flattery says they do this every year.
"We do this annually to learn a bit about what's happening in the tourism world. We're able to learn about the economic, social, environmental and customer service impacts so we can shape the policies and programs that reflect local needs and priorities."
She says the questions are different for each survey.
"We like to learn a bit about how peoples visit was when they were in the county for visitors. For residents, we want to hear about what they would like to see in the area for them to be able to use in their daily life. With tourism operators, we want to hear about good news stories, the numbers and who is visiting them."
The surveys for residents and business owners will close on November 14th, but the visitor survey will remain open until December 31st. Residents who fill out a survey will be entered to win a $100 gift card to a local restaurant, and visitors will be entered for a chance to win an Oxford overnight package.
One all of the survey results are in, staff will look through all of the information to see if they can find common themes or any other information that stands out. That data will be considered while staff create marketing plans and develop new programs for next year.
