Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another case of COVID-19 in the City of Woodstock, meanwhile another 4 people in our region have fully recovered, including a person in Blandford-Blenheim.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another case of COVID-19 in the region today, and another 5 people have recovered.
The confirmed case from today is in the City of Woodstock. Four of the recovered cases are in Elgin/St. Thomas and the one is from Blandford-Blenheim. Because we had one new case in Oxford and one recovery, our total of active cases in Oxford remains at 16. St. Thomas and Elgin County currently have 7 active cases.

- 1 case in Norwich Township
- 1 case East-Zorra Tavistock

To date, the Health Unit has tested 2,355 people for COVID-19. We have 60 cumulative confirmed cases, 32 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 24 active cases. We have also had two institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared, both in Elgin County. One of them has been resolved and the second one was declared after a staff member at a long term care home tested positive.
