WOODSTOCK - Five schools in the South-West part of Woodstock went into hold and secure this morning while Police investigated a weapons complaint.
Officers were called to the area this morning about a suspicious person who may have been carrying a weapon on Parkinson Road near Sales Drive. As a precaution, police notified local schools in the area and they went into hold and secure while the investigation took place.
When police arrived, the suspect vehicle had already left the scene. After scouring the area, police determined, there was no threat to public safety at this time and the hold and secures were lifted at all five schools. It's not exactly clear what was observed.
