Two people from London have been arrested after thousands of dollars worth of cheese was stolen from South-West Oxford Township.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Two people have been arrested following a huge cheese heist in South West Oxford Township.
Last month about $6,200 worth of cheese was stolen after a break and enter at the Village Cheese Mill. The theft happened sometime between February 20th and the 21st and force was used to get inside the building. Police say two people stole cash, DVD's, fudge, meat stick, maple syrup, shortbread, garbage bags, chocolate bars, stamps, international books, pre-stamped envelopes and Marilyn Munroe Stamps. They also stole a remarkable amount of cheese.
After investigating police have charged 49 year old Robert Mackenzie and 40 year old Amy Smith with 2 counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. Both suspects are from London.
Both parties were held in custody pending bail hearings.
