Solicitor General Sylvia Jones stated today the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine will be given to residents aged 60 to 64.
ONTARIO - The Province announced today it's plans for the 100,000 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca expected to arrive next week.
Solicitor General Sylvia Jones stated today the vaccine will be given to residents aged 60 to 64. Right now the Federal panel is recommending the AstraZeneca vaccine not be delivered to residents 65 years of age and older. 500,000 doses of the vaccine arrived in Canada this morning, however many of them will expire the first week of April, so it is crucial to act quickly.
The plan is to administer the shots via mass vaccination sites that are being set up all across the Province. Locally we will have one of those sites in Woodstock at Goff Hall set up by March 15th.
It's not immediately clear when adults between 60-64 can sign up to get a dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
