Perth County OPP issue a public alert after an attempted abduction last night
[St. Mary's] - The Perth County OPP are investigating an attempted abduction in the Town of St. Marys.
At approximately 7:35 p.m last night, a 9-year-old boy was walking in the area of Station Street and Church Street when he was approached by an oncoming motor vehicle.
The adult male driver offered a ride, exited the vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted to grab the child. The vehicle left the area and the child arrived safely at his residence.
The driver is described as an older Caucasian male with a deep voice and an average build. The vehicle is described as an SUV.
