Production at the CAMI plant has stopped for the month due to a battery shortage.
INGERSOLL - A battery shortage has stopped production at the CAMI Plant in Ingersoll.
In an interview with the London Free Press, Unifor Local 88 Plant Chair Mike Van Boekel says all General Motors plants are experiencing the effects of this shortage.
The Ingersoll-based plant is working on four-years worth of orders for the EV BrightDrop cargo van.
About 1,500 people work at CAMI and production is currently scheduled to resume on July 31st.
