The five volunteers have over 70 years of service combined.
OXFORD COUNTY - Five volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County (BBBS Oxford) have been recognized by the Ontario government.
Christine Boskovic, Fred Freeman, Holly Kropf, Martha Fraser, and our very own Dan Henry Haderlein have over 70 years of volunteer service combined. Fraser and Freeman have been volunteering for more than 20-years each, Christine Boskovic and Holly Knopf have both dedicated more than 10-years to the organization, and Haderlein recently celebrated 10 years with BBBS Oxford.
They were honoured during a special ceremony at the Lamplighter Inn Conference Centre in London last Thursday. Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman was there and he presented each of them with a certificate and a service award pin.
Erica Hughes, the Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator with BBBS Oxford, says the organization relies on its volunteer mentors
"Our mentors are the heartbeat of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County. Their years of dedication change lives, not only for the young people they support, but for our entire community. This recognition reflects the deep, lasting impact that mentors make every single day. We are so proud and grateful for each of these volunteers and the legacy of support they are building."
