The Beer Store has launched a new recycling service. In addition to beer, wine and liquor bottles, the new program will also recycle old house paints, batteries and consumer electronics. Recycling Plus is a partnership between The Beer Store, Sims Recycling Solutions and Stewardship Ontario. The first recycling centre was opened this morning in Toronto, near Dupont Street and Lansdowne Avenue. If the pilot project is successful, more centres will open across the province. Ontario Environment Minister Jim Bradley was on hand to push the first returns down the rollers.
