Over 420 people attended the Big Night Out Halloween Bash in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - The Big Night Out Halloween Bash was a huge success this year, raising $120,370 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County!
Over 420 people packed the Oxford Auditorium for the Charity Ball on Saturday October 19th.
The Best Individual Costume went to Michael Szala as Optimus Prime while Laurie Schultz and Mike Crabbe won the Best Couples Costume as Barf and Lonestar from Space Balls. The Best Group Costume went to Rob Jonker and his family and friends dressed up as GI Joe.
Executive Director Kristen Ralph says all the money raised will support the youth mentorship programs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County.
"We receive no core funding, so every dollar we raise—whether it's through donations, grants, sponsorships, or events like this one—directly supports the children and youth in our community. The young people in our programs face adversities, but that’s not what defines them. They are more than their struggles. They are incredible humans who can do incredible things, and sometimes they just need someone extra in their life to help them believe that. That’s where we and our mentors step in to ensure that their adversities aren’t what defines them."
