The charges stem from an incident on October 30th, 2023.
LONDON - It was another day in court for Trevor Birtch.
The former Woodstock Mayor pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault and one count of unlawful entry in a London courtroom yesterday.
The charges are related to an incident in London on October 30th 2023, the same day he was arrested for impaired driving not too far from Woodstock. He pled guilty to that charge last week.
The matter has been adjourned until March.
Birtch has also undergone two other assault trials over the past few of years. He was originally found guilty of one count of assault and one count of sexual assault, but not guilty of a second sexual assault charge. A mistrial has been declared in that case. Birtch was also found guilty two counts of sexual assault but not guilty of a third count of sexual assault in another trial last fall. Sentencing has been scheduled for Monday May 5th, 2025.
