OXFORD COUNTY - A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Oxford County.
Southwestern Public Health is asking consumers of the Oxford South Municipal Water Supply, which contains Norwich, Otterville and Springford to bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming it in any way. This includes not only drinking it, but also using it to brush your teeth, wash food or make juice, ice cubes or baby formula.
The reason for the advisory is precautionary, as water sample results have indicated that there may be a presence of bacteria in the water. This advisory will remain in place until bacteriological tests prove the water to be safe.
