CTV says a bottle drive in Brantford will help pay for a life changing surgery for 17 year old Caroline Smith.
BRANTFORD - A bottle drive in Brantford is raising money to send a 17 year old the US in order to get a life changing surgery.
Kitchener CTV says 17 year old Caroline Smith suffers from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and has to go to Baltimore in order to get a special surgery that will cost about $120,000 Canadian.
Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, also known as EDS, is a painful genetic disorder that breaks down the connected tissue inside the body.
CTV says today's bottle drive will take place at Szabo Brothers Car Care on Winniett Street in Brantford and will run from 8am until 3pm.
Cash donations are also being accepted through a Go Fund Me page.
