Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll and Tillsonburg hit a big strike with the 31st annual Bowl for Kids Sake. Over 300 bowlers participated this year raising a remarkable $35,000 for the organization. BBBS is not funded by the Ministry and they have to raise all of their dollars through fundraiser's and donations. All of the funds raised at this event will go towards the mentoring programs and services. Executive Director for Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Deb Landen says to celebrate the organizations 40th anniversary they had a 70's theme and teams were encouraged to dress up with a 70's motif and they played some of the best tunes from the decade during the bowls. Landen says it is amazing the type of impact you can have on a child's life through BBBS. "The impact is profound, it makes such a big difference in how the kids handle life situations, goal setting for the future, wanting to go onto post secondary education and knowing they have some options for the future.
