Briefs include a crash on Highway 24 where a driver tried to pass several vehicles. Plus in separate incidents, a woman was caught driving intoxicated and a 21 year old individual was caught driving with their G1 unaccompanied.
BRANT COUNTY - One woman from Brant County is facing impaired driving charges following an incident on Catherine Street.
Officers arrived on scene and dealt with a complaint on Wednesday after 7:30 pm when an individual left the area in a car.
The driver was stopped by police on Grand River Street South and taken into custody.
A 49-year-old woman was charged with the following offences:
- operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired
- blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
She is scheduled to appear in a Brantford courtroom at a later date.

BRANT COUNTY - One individual was caught driving with their G1 after OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Cockshutt Road.
Officers responded to the traffic complaint on Wednesday just before 9:30 pm and found the driver.
The 21-year-old individual from Brantford was charged with the following offence:
- G1 driver - unaccompanied by qualified driver contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
He was then issued a ticket.

BRANT COUNTY - No one was injured after a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 24.
Brant County OPP responded just before 6:30 am on Wednesday after a vehicle was travelling northbound near Bethel Road when the driver tried to pass several vehicles.
The individual then collided with an unsuspecting driver that was also travelling southbound.
The driver lost control and entered a ditch. The driver of the second vehicle, which was hit, was able to safely stop and call police.
A 61-year-old driver from Norfolk County was then charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a ticket.
