Constables from the Brant OPP and Brantford Police cited for bravery after jumping into a burning building.
Two members of the Brant OPP and an officer from the Brantford Police Service have received citations for bravery.
The men were honoured for their heroic acts on January 1st of this year. They didn't think twice about entering a burning building when it was believed there was one person still inside.
Constables Paul Drake and Christopher Thompson with the Brant OPP along with Constable Jeremy Morton were given the citations last Tuesday in London at the West Region OPP awards ceremony.
County of Brant OPP Detachment Commander Inspector Pete Liptrott offered up his comments on these officers.
"We appreciate the great working relationship we have with the Brantford Police Service and all of our Community partners. These three officers attended a very difficult call and made all attempts to ensure the safety of the residents of that burning building. I commend the officers for their efforts and their dedication to the citizens of our community."
