WOODSTOCK - The story of Calendar Girls will be brought to life on the Theatre Woodstock stage.
The show will make its big debut this Friday night starting at 7:30 p.m.
Director Tanya Thompson says it's a true story about a group of women in the UK, who decide to launch a one-of-a-kind fundraiser for their local hospital.
"In an effort to raise money to purchase a settee for the visitor's lounge family waiting room at the general hospital, they embark on creating a nude calendar."
Thompson says the show will make you laugh and it might also make you cry.
"It's a beautiful story. There are some really touching moments and there are some really funny moments. So if your heart can use a little lift, you should come out because it's going to be a great couple of hours of entertainment."
Over 30 people are involved in this production, including 14 cast members on stage.
They have six performances planned, with the final show scheduled for Saturday October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the Theatre Woodstock box office.
